Satya Shiva

Satya Shiva has been the director of YMI’s Panchakarma Department since 2004 and is a Panchakarma Specialist and Ayurvedic Health Specialist. Satya is also a QRA Practitioner, Ayurvedic Chef, Massage Therapist, Meditation Instructor and Hatha Yoga Teacher with a degree in Biological Anthropology, and is currently completing a Masters Dergree in Acupuncture and Traditional Oriental Medicine. She is the creator of Yogic Beauty, a line of "beyond organic" beauty products based on the understanding that radiant health equals radiant beauty, and is dedicated to educating people about the dangers of toxic products and environment, and the undeniable joy of vibrant healthy living. 

Satya began training in the Yogic and Ayurvedic sciences with Derrick Pawo and Kali Nyima Pawo in 2001.  She specializes in panchakarma, the detoxification and rejuvenation system of the Himalayas, and works with clients in highly specialized cleanses and detoxification programs.  Satya and the Yogic Medicine Institute draw on the practical system of QRA (applied kinesiology) to create 100% individualized cleansing programs, this specialization allows the deepest, safest and most efficient detoxification for individuals. Satya is also an Ayurvedic Health Specialist with additional training from the California College of Ayurveda.  She has infused her passion for cooking with Ayurvedic knowledge and has served as Chief Ayurvedic Chef for numerous events, retreats and private clients, and also teaches Ayurvedic cooking classes.

Satya is a trained Hatha Yoga Teacher and Meditation Instructor and has been teaching spinal based yoga since 2002. She currently teaches Therapeutic Yoga Classes at YMI and offers private Yoga Therapy sessions tailored to each person. She is passionate about the Yogic Sciences and enthusiastic to share their ancient wisdom with others.
